Manette Fairmont received her Bachelor Degree in Fine Art from Principia College, Illinois and has studied abroad in England and Italy. She has received numerous national awards for her paintings in national art exhibitions and has recently received a Gold Award, Best in Show, at the CWA National 2007 Exhibition. Manette has also served as a fine art judge for many prestigious art exhibitions including for the 2009 National Watercolor Society Exhibition in La Brea, California. She has exhibited her work in many museum and national exhibitions. Her work has been published in a selection of Fine Art Books: Best of Watercolor :Painting Composition, by Rockport Publishers, Best Of America Artists: Watercolor, Kennedy Publishing, and "Creative Computer Tools for Artists, " by Jann Pollard and Jerry Little, published by Watson Guptill.
Her paintings have been featured in several National Art Magazines: American Artist Magazine: Watercolor, International Artist Magazine and Artist Magazine. She is an elected Signature Member of the National Watercolor Society, the National Watercolor Honor Society, Watercolor West, and is now a "Master" Signature Member of the California Watercolor Association. She has had solo exhibits of her work at the "Lawrence Gallery," on Ocean Avenue in Carmel CA, and a gallery on Cape Cod, "Redwing Fine Art Gallery," located in Yarmouthport, MA, "Modern Masters Gallery" in San Francisco, including her own gallery The Fairmont Gallery on the historic plaza of Sonoma.
The Fairmont Gallery, is recognized as one of the top galleries in the Bay Area for museum quality original oil, watercolors, pastels and photography. Her paintings and the work of many other artists can be viewed at The Fairmont Gallery, in the Northern California Wine Country, north of San Francisco, on the Historic Sonoma Plaza, known for its quiet and intimate atmosphere.
